The Nuts & Bolts
In 1972, Michael Kin came up with a simple idea: to sell and distribute fasteners to area businesses. The business was first started in a garage in York, Pennsylvania, opening the first location of Military & Commercial Fasteners Corporation — now known simply as MCF.
The company found its success in the pursuit of the highest quality and attention to detail, and that pursuit paid off. MCF expanded over the next six years from the garage to a 6,000 square-foot shop. Over the next 10 years, they more than doubled their operating space in York — and over the next 20 years, their facility size nearly tripled. They added new production and distribution centers in Athens, GA (2002), and Goshen, IN (2007), and continued to grow at all of their facilities.
Today, MCF is a multi-million dollar operation with 75+ employees, three locations, and 182,000+ square feet of distribution, manufacturing, engineering, packaging and testing space.
